Paddling Pools in Rivelin Valley Park.
On Rivelin Valley Road, near its junction with Hollins Lane (near the Holly Bush Pub).
There's even a play area, and a little cafe near-bye.

Nearest “Open-air” swimming pool (or Lido) is in Hathersage.

Have a good time.

Drive out to Hathersage,
all the way down the hill, past the petrol station,
turn left onto Station Road, signposted for Grindleford (IIRC),
about 200 yds up on your left, can't miss it really.

Can't remember the entrance costs or opening times though.

I was there on Tues!. No you dont have to be a member or resident to swim (although there is a membership scheme for residence). The general public can swim. Its £3.50 and they have 3 sessions a day morning, afternoon and evening. I know the afternoon one is 1.30pm - 4.00pm and the evening starts at 5.30pm i think.

There is grass around it to lay down on with your towel, with a few chairs and also covered seating area. There are showers and changing rooms plus a pool side cafe. It was very busy but really enjoyable with the hills ofthe peaks around you as views.

There's a chlorinated paddling pool in that big park in Bakewell, next to the river, if you get desperate!
