Can anyone recommend a pub which does really good home made pub grub?

The Norfolk Arms just up from Chapeltown is the best I've had, good portions, reasonable prices, just don't expect to just drop in its very popular and thus you can wait a while, well worth it though!

The Scotsmans Pack at Hathersage is excellent.

The Stag on Psater lane does good food.
Monsel Head but it's not that close.

Seconded there, been there a few times. All fresh food, non of the microwaved crap. Not the cheapest meal but certainly the the best pub meals I have ever had

The Swan at Ridgeway does really nice homecooked food and they also have a weight wathcers and slimming world menu so those slimmer among us don't feel left out.

no. real ale pub now with range of european beers too. pricy mind. decent home made food.

The best meat and potato pie and the most wonderful fish and chips, massive portions (if you wish) served with the finest pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord in Sheffield.

Also serves arguably the finest Sunday roast in the region.
