HI
I am organising a hen gathering in Sept, and thought we might spend one of the days around Lathkill Dale, doing the picnic walk thing....problem is I have no idea what alternative there is out that way if the weather is not agreeable.....any suggestions please??
Thanks
Kathy
Bulls Head at Monyash. There is no other alternative seeing as it's miles from anywhere!

ok, any suggestions for wet weather activities in peaks then? may have some kids along, so child friendly would help :-)
Bulls Head, Monyash. Good food whether it's raining or fine. Kids are welcome.
Alternative suggestion - Lathkill Hotel, Over Haddon. Kids welcome, serve food too.
I might be missing something here, but what exactly is a `hen gathering`?

hen gathering...also known as a hen night, but it goes on for a couple of days and involves activities other than drinking!! but it is just my term for it :)

Well if it's a proper hen gathering, how about a game of chicken or even an egg-hunt?
Then once you've done that you can play egg and spoon, and after that you can perhaps have a pancake race.
Anybody got any more ideas?
Sit together and tell yokes .....
What ever you decide to do have a cracking time..
