The Swimathon will be taking place on Sunday 20th September at Sheffield Canine Hydrotherapy Centre. The idea is that we conduct a sponsored swim from 7am-7pm with 180 dogs completing 15 minutes in the pool one after another in relay. Each dog will be sponsored with each raising at least £25 in sponsorship

it does sound like fun :)
is the money going to the national RSPCA, or to the local RSPCA? they don't seem to make it clear that the local branches don't get as much support from the national fund as we assume they do!
Hello!
I am busy organising the swimathon so I can assure you all monies raised will be going to the sheffield branch of the RSPCA!
We hope to see you there!

HI
Will you have someone swimming under the water tickling the dogs feet as they are trying to swim. Its really funny as it panics the dogs :hihi:
Also suddenly appearing out of the water suddenly also gives dogs a fright :hihi:
If you need someone to do this, I'll do it for £5
The owners of the dogs taking part will be standing by the side watching I am sorry but owners are not allowed in the pool!
A member of Aquavet staff is in the pool at all times with each dog.
What a shame I love going swimmimg with my mutt
