Knowing how much we girls love :gag: to do the ironing (and knowing how keen Pat is on it :hihi:) I thought it about time we had a list of the best excuses why the ironing should be ignored!!!! :banana: YES! :thumbsup:

I can't do the ironing because .......... my arm suddenly goes limp :suspect:, when I reach for iron :D

Because Pat's doing it all for me. I'm trapped in the cellar and not allowed to use electrical things, only battery powered ones. And there aren't any battery powered irons.

Because an alien kidnapped my laundry :help:

I've only got one of those cast iron black ones that you have to put on the fire or gas cooker to heat up..... I don't have either so the ironing dosen't get done. I just lay it under the mattress if I really HAVE to press anything....:thumbsup:

I didn't want to disturb the lesser spotted tree creeper that had made a nest in the ironing basket.

The ironing board developed a life of it's own.......and just marched out the front door!!! :o

Because my (invisible) OH, just loves crumpled shirts :hihi:

It uses valuable energy, and so what if your shirts are crumpled? They will be anyway after you've worn them for an hour. A nicely ironed shirt is a sign of wasted time.:):):)

My OH wont let me use the washing machine, so all my clothes are dirty, it's no good ironing dirty clothes.

I have a two-fold solution. Lots of things that just don't need washing, and the things that have to be ironed are done by someone else. That's what hired staff are for ;)
