Ok so my lap top actually turns on now...it is all fixed, got a new hard drive! I have set up the wireless connection and it is flashing and ready to go but I can not go on to any web page. Any ideas or tips please?? This computer is fine.

Nah online, there is nothing wrong with the wireless connection it just won't go on the net...page can not be displayed and all that. Very annoying. Shoved it under the bed for another month or so!

Chances are that if you have Windows XP, you should log on as Administrator and check to see if it works on there. If you already are logged in as 'Administrator' then it may be a DNS problem which means a problem between your laptop and router.
