My dog went missing yesterday (tuesday) whilst being walked by a "professional" dog walker. For some reason she ran away from him and has refused to come back. She was being walked on the fields between crimicar lane and blackbrook road at lodge moor, and has apparently been seen in the same area today.

She has a purple leather collar on and is microchipped in her left shoulder. The dog warden has been informed that she is missing.
If anyone can provide any information regarding her whereabouts I would be incredibly grateful. I'm worried sick!

I saw her yesterday morning near the shops ar Redmires at about 7.30am. I was at the bustop and a man in a grey truck/van was trying to catch her. She looked well but when he came up to her she got very scared a ran in the oppersite direction the road going up to the Sportsman. I'll keep my eyes open for her and if i manage to get her i will let you know. Hope you find her x

She's called Tara. The guy trying to catch her would be the dog walker, but she won't go near him. I was up there for 13 hours today and found where she's been sleeping. We saw her briefly but I think quite a few people have tried to grab her so she's really spooked and running as soon as she sees anyone. There were other people with me today so she just took off before we could get near her. I'll have to try on my own and just be very patient and try to coax her to me.

I would offer to go up and try and coax her to me, but to be honest it sounds like trying to catch her would do more harm than good at the moment.

I have a dog who gets spooked easily and if she's been spooked won't even come to me (fine when she gets to me and is all over me, but just won't come upto me in the first place!) so I know just what your little girl must be like at the moment.

I really don't think it's a good idea I try to catch her so just wanted to wish you luck in getting her back and I hope she is reunited with you safe and sound.

Can I suggest that anybody reading this thread who walks up there regularly puts Dave's number in their phone NOW, so they can call him straight away if she's spotted?

Dave - have you asked the two pubs up there if they'll display posters? Both the Sportsman and the Three Merry Lads are dog friendly :thumbsup:

Just got back from walking my dog on the field and I hear it's good news. Tara was found last night close to where she ran off by someone who left some food out - Tara appeared and walked into the house by all accounts.
