View Full Version : 14 year old rapist; just plain sick!
Boy, 14, charged with seven rapes
A 14-year-old boy was charged with the rape of four primary school girls.
The teenager, who has not been named, was charged with seven counts of rape following sex attacks on two eight-year-old girls, a seven-year-old girl and a 10-year-old girl in a park on Sunday.
The girls had been playing on swings in Mandley Park in Salford, Greater Manchester, shortly before the attack took place between 5pm and 6.40pm.
The boy, from Salford, was arrested by detectives at around 3.25am on Monday.
A Greater Manchester police spokeswoman said: "A 14-year-old boy from Salford has been charged with seven counts of rape on four children.
"The charges follow an incident in Mandley Park on Sunday, July 10."
The boy is due to appear before Salford Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The park, which is close to Leicester Road in Salford, was cordoned off earlier in the week while specialist forensic officers searched for clues.

If this happend to one of mine I would be baying for this young mans blood can't begin to think how the parents and children concerned must be feeling right now. every day I lose more and more faith in mankind......

Have I missed the trial and the verdict of guilty? And did we ever hang 14 year olds?
hanging is too harsh, but what are your thought on public floggings?

Don't forget his own social worker (just to keep him informed of his rights) and legal aid of course!

You are right redrebbo. Hanging is very much over the top. If i was the father of one of the girls then i'd prefer to dish my own punishment out :D (which we also dont do!)
Also you are correct and maybe we have jumped the gun slightly! If we did and they've made a big error in getting the wrong lad or it must be very imaginative minds of young girls!

Doe anyone else think this kids must have some serious sexual hormone (or something) problem? I mean, her raped 7 times between 5pm and 6.40pm!?!?
From the little information available, it doesn't appear he made much effort to cover his tracks, so I doubt this was planned. It seems to me he must of "flipped". Not saying it is an excuse and it doesn't mean the safest place for him isn't behind bars. All I'm saying is that if we were to automatically label these people as evil and hang them, then we learn nothing. If we try to understand what drives people to commit such crimes then the knowledge could be perhaps be used to help prevent some crimes and to help solve others.
The good ol' days of lynch mobs really weren't that good.

I'm guessing the lad had some major childhood trauma (well obviously; a well-balanced kid wouldn't do something like this).
I am concerned that most of these suspects may become guinea pigs for child psychologists who will be delighted to further their careers by examining the suspect to see what life experience damaged him, but will do nothing concrete to prevent the problems reoccuring again.
If it turns out the suspect was damaged due to bad parenting, or the trauma of a childhood divorce, will his parents be held accountable? Of course not. The suspect will be punished lightly, and this vicious cycle will continue to be repeated elsewhere across the country.
If this happened to a loved one of yours, wouldn't you want the prepetrator to be punished severely instead ?
Eventually, the only way to prevent this act happening again will be to keep all children under close supervision 24 hours a day.

But please note - I did also say that the safest place for people like this was behind bars!
I have no problem with harsh punishments, I just think that to "know your enemy" makes sense... you can't learn what makes him tick if you hang him from a tree!

I know you were Zamo - please don't think I was inferring otherwise.
My issue is that if it does come to light that the boy had a major childhood trauma (and as I mentioned earlier, I suspect he does because no well-adjusted child would act in this horrific way) then what will be the solution?
How could you prevent further children from doing what he did?
Any psychological examination of the suspect may provide shock value and interest for child psychologists, but no cure, because I feel that whatever parental or childhood factors contributed to warping the mind of the suspect cannot be undone after the event :|
Splodge_CRB 14-07-2005, 17:32 Watch him try to claim it was consensual sex.....
I don't think anyone was ever damaged by just and fair discipline, humiliated and scorched for a little while perhaps.
Now there seems to be none at all a lot of kids are out there damaging themselves instead.
Even worse those parents who are little more than children in adults bodies who have no idea what responsibility and guidance means.
It's a tough time being a kid in this big ole scary world but until we start teaching them to be responsible for their own actions at the earliest age possible then the future aint going to look too bright.
By then we'll probably be drooling in nursing homes with armed perimeter guards.
