My wife works on the admin side. She gets bored to death at times because the work is a doddle, there's no demanding work and there's no stress etc. It is a civil service after all :)

Use your wheelchair to your advantage....

Just like Jow Swanson from Family Guy does.... heres a quote:

'Joe Swanson is Spooner St's able bodied cop. He may be in a wheel chair but that doesn't stop him from being the most bad ass cop in Quahog.'

Which can be seen here...

http://www.familyguyquotes.com/characters/joe-swanson-quotes.html

Go for it - you never know!

One thing that REALLY annoys me about the police is that even for a very boring 9-5 desk job you MUST have a full driving licence or your application won't even get looked at (this is Thames Valley Police, I believe not all forces are the same). I got refused flat out for a job a few years ago and I still don't drive, surely this is discriminatory?

Would Mainframe have a chance of a job in the force? Surely a bright lad in a wheelchair could make a valuable contribution to policing our streets. Disabled people do simply amazing jobs elswhere- they try harder just to prove their worth. Go for it Mainframe.

Go to a police station, pour some water on the stairs then lay at the bottom and scream in pain, tell them its thier fault.

They will feel guilty and give you a job, bet it would be good money too ;)
