I saw the show in Vegas last month and thought it was excellent. I'm a bloke who enjoys a good rom-com and musical so with the excellnt reviews in the press and the fact the show was good I am really looking forward to this. Lets hope it doesn't let me down!!

My 2 daughters went to see it last night and they both said it was amazing and could watch it again, one is 17 the other is 12. They said loads was up dancing to Abba songs.

The only thing which would encourage me to see 'Mama Mia' is if it contained lingering shots of Agnetha's rear (in its prime).

saw it last night ............ its the cheesy-ist, camp-est film Ive ever seen, ........... absolutly brilliant, a real 'feel good' film that'll have you sat there with a huge smile on your face (I,m sure i looked derranged) and tapping your feet along to all the classics.

Also makes me pine for a greek island!

At the end when Meryl says another one and they do... sshhh.... we did start singing and imagined that in America people would have got up and started dancing... it's just dying for us all to lose our inhibitions and start dancing round.

OMG so have I! And since going to watch the film which is fabolous by the way I am in the abba mood. Youtube is favourited on the Abba tracks :thumbsup: & I have digged out the Abba greatest hits album & downloaded it onto the ipod.

My wife and I saw Mama Mia last week and she thought the movie was brilliant.
But I thought it was just ok and over rated.
It seems that I'm the only one that couldn't get in to this movie, is it just a girl thing as every female I know loved the movie.

I loved it (apart from Pierce Brosnan's singing :P) I wasn't expecting much but went with the girls from work. It was a funny, entertaining, feel-good film... and of course you just have to sing along :)

The film is in itself average, yet enjoyable......what makes this film a great one is Streep...............she looks fantastic for 60......and sings like an angel........

I was exactly the same. I give it 2/10. Barbara loved it, so it cost me the CD and a hat for the grand kids

Sometimes you can have too much of this, they appear to just churn out the same old stuff. Maybe I'm not easily pleased or just need something new to jolt my cynical mind.

3/10, and it wouldn't have scored that highly if not for the amount of vodka i drank to get through Pierce Brosnan singing

I went and got the flim the other day.
I think the story is quite crap but at least the music is good.:)
I also think Pierce Brosnan is the worst actor in the world and this flim didnt do anything for him

A very ordinary family film I could not sit through it again,It has been very overated

My daughter had been to see this movie 3 times, I bought it her this weekend and watched it Saturday night. My children enjoyed it but I thought it was utter rubbish. Talk about hype a movie up. Did not rate the movie atall. 4/10

Seriously, the hype this film got - were people drunk before they went to see it?! I am watching it and its killing me, but feel I must try and get through it - it could get better! But so far just keeps getting worse!!!

Well i loved it went to see it 3 times at cinema and still watch it at home .

Had to turn it off. Thought it was truly the most awful film I have ever, ever, ever watched.

I think it might be the frame of mind you're in when you first see it, or your personal circumstances. Do you have kids pennypie? I don't and I hated it, while family members who do all loved it. I think it might be the nostalgia of mum and daughter relationship type thing? I also don't like movie musicals in general so that might be another reason I didn't like it! Each to their own I suppose? :)
