Our electric oven has stopped heating up. Everything else works - the fan, the grill etc - but it just won't heat up. Being completely non technically minded I have the following requests for assistance -
1 - What has happened? Is someone stealing the heat? Is it too close to the freezer? (ok, i'm not really that bad but would still appreciate your ideas).
2 - Who actually fixes ovens? Electricians? My usual answer to this would be 'Dad' but I have got to grow up some time.
3 - Any reccomendations?
Sounds like the element in your oven could have burnt out - that's what happened to ours earlier this year.
As our cooker wasn't that old we got on to the manafacturers who came and fixed it in a couple of days.
Perhaps this is your kitchen's way of saying you need to eat out more.
(I use my cooker for storage).

I wish I could crawl into it tonight, it's so hot!
HottyMcBuff, you can at least console yourself with the fact that it's perfect BBQ weather at the minute, until it gets fixed!
1 - Er, well.
2 - Oven fixers, try domestic appliance repairs in the Yellow Pages.
3 - See 2. I could do it, I also know several good domestic appliance engineers, but I'm 100 and odd miles away, sorry. :(
