in the next few weeks the morrisons 371 bus run by yorkshire terrier is to be taken out of service all together. we have started a petition to save the bus but if anyone wants to add there details please email me on md1pts@lineone.net

we need the support of people round the shiregreen, ecclesfield and surrounding area.

Ho no i use this bus to get to morrisons to,but i got to admit it as not been a full bus when we use it from tunwell end.i notice more people use it more to shiregreen area to get home.but eccelsfield and parson cross is always empty.

i think a smaller bus would be better for this service but not to take it off for good.this is the 1st time i hear about it.

Yes i know that joel, but this bus goes places were no other bus goes,it goes all arround the estates and it is handy for old and disabled people that use this bus in the day.it does not just use the main roads like the 75 and 72 does.its a circular bus that goes to shiregreen-ecclesfield-parson cross estate.and it the only bus you can set your watch to and its never late

i know a lot of old people that use this bus as it is safer to use then to lug shopping up a hill just becuase no bus goes they way.even use it to the doctors near us too so it is handy bus.

Hi Spinny

I totally agree with you on this point about no other buses.

I have rung the council transport people but they said they couldnt do anything.
also the drivers really good on it.
I also rang the phone in on r sheffield but all i got from him that runs it was that everybody could walk.

we live in deerlands and have worked out that my mrs will have to use the 17 and then the 75 to get to morrisons which is very inconvenient shes asmatic so cant really walk to barnsley rd to get the 75 anyway itll cost us 80p per shop more in fares.

petitions have gone in and morrisons had a book on customer services for people to sign. all i think we can hope for is morrisons to restart the contract for the bus.

did here that there was a meeting at terrier yesterday re the service. keep fingers and owt else crossed.

take care john in parson cross
