50 & 30 run on Ecclesall between Limb Lane (Whirlow) and Hunters Bar. 50 operates at peak hours, the 30 is hourly.

They do NOT run on Ecclesall Rd between Hunters Bar & Town.

The 97A does not run along Ecclesall Rd at all, but along London Rd, Abbeydale Rd, Abbeydale Rd Sth, Totley Bk Rd, Furniss Av & Totley Bk Rd (in Totley Brook/Dore).
The 97A allegedly is every 15 minutes.

Thanks for the advice. I had been looking at the websites before posting, but with not knowing the area names of a lot of Sheffield they weren't much help.

With the London road one - can I get that from the town end of the road - near Chinese Fireworks at all?

Thanks

TBH, I was zooming down the streets when I saw the 87 mentioning "Ecclesall Road" (Via somewhere).

I think where the confusion over the the 97/97a comes is that this service runs in a circle route when it reaches Ecclesfield and then becomes a 87 bus back into city via Wadsley bridge and Hillsborough.
The best site is the www.yorkshiretravel.co.uk where you have various option to find the bus service you require. The options being:
1) direct to timetable if you know service number
2) from your street to your destination street
3) via post code
It will even give the the option of a mini map
The planner covers all Yorkshire (n/s/w/e)
The service to Dore is 30/50 until July 31st then it will just be 30 as the current 50 journeys are being replaced with extra 30's!
