i have a pair of pure breed silkie bantams..these lovely sociable birds are friendly and make good pets and are laying fertile eggs.
silkies are known to be the best broody hen there is and will hatch out most eggs of other birds.
Only pure breed silkies have black skin and bones throughout there body as well as an extra toe on each of their feet..
I am thinking of selling these lovely birds but dont know how to go about it on the sheffield forum...pls help

Looks like you just did it :hihi: there is usually a re-homing form to fill out but I'm not sure that the one for birds would really cover hens.
Because there is no form for the hens I will leave this open for now so that people can ask questions about the hens.

I love Silkies they are beautiful little hens, we used to have them when I was at school they were my favourite amongst all of the farm animals :)

Aww it's really not fair when people do that, I would have them in a heartbeat if only I was allowed to (and had room :rolleyes: ).

me too - I loooove silkies, but no room in the coop currently with my 8 :(

i assume they come with a cock, sort a speak to be fertile .
