i go to marmaris and i have jabs for typhoid tetanus and diptheria and hepatitis A and sometimes polio drops.. as for malaria tablets i was not takeing them as my doctor said it depends what part of turkey you visit or go up into the mountains then you need these.

we was told that some people do not take the jabs as long as your carful of what you drink or eat.but i did not want to take the chance,so i think its up to the person to have the jabs.my dad and step mum never have the jabs.only tetanus they do have.

i recommend the longbeach appartments in marmaris
it away from the main road and noise but only 5min walk to pub clubs and beach..flat walk to marmaris itself.it got it own pool and bar..has self catering and hotel service..very clean.
was well worth the money were it was set.and also got local shops accros road.
you can go a lot cheeper in turkey but as my dad found out he end up in the mountains and had to get taxis and bus to the town.so now even he stop in this one this year.
hear a link about it anyways.

I would seek Roy James advice, since you are going to a predominantly Muslim country.... then again, maybe not!!

that looks quit nice, but did you book a package deal or everything seperate such as flights, accomadition etc. because the apartments seem quit far from the airport so would you arrange your own transport?

no we got transfers from the airport, dalaman is the only airport you can go to get to marmaris.we got package with flight transfers and hotel.they plenty of people that go to maramis from this airport on a coach so you wont be the only once.and drop and pick up to ur hotel.and make sure you booked in befor they leave you,we book with thompson, you can get a taxi but i think it would cost you as we on the coach for over a hour.

Have a look at this Kirky

http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/travel/asia/turkey.shtml

I would probably have the Typhoid jab cos even if you do not drink the water they probably wash the salad in it. Most of the others you need to have several months before you go so it is probably too late anyway.

I've been to Marmaris a few years back and it was ace

Also, I dont go in for all the scare mongering of "holiday for hell" rubbish. People complaining cos their sheets wern't changed 27 times a day etc etc....how often do they do it at home?

And the camels for girls thing. People take things WAY too serious. Marmaris has been a major tourist resort for years. This either a) happened as a joke or b) it didn't really happen, did it?

Have a top time dude.

also i know about marmaris as i got family over there so i been over every year for 7ys now,and i know what is a clean hotel from a dirty one,it nothing to do with the change of sheets it was everything in that hotel.. im not dissing marmaris at all as i love the place.
things do change you know and i know the people some very well that are very nice but you do get the odd one that want to have the yonger female and bug them all the time,i seen it with my own eyes.

and they do serve meat and veg and puddings for a long time and play bingo too for beer.
