What's the defining characteristic of the a Yorkshire Breakfast? How does it differ from a traditional full english?

The difference is not what's on the plate at the beginning it's what's on it at the end - nowt.:D

At just about any cafe.

The only one that I know of on our (west) side of Sheffield on a Sunday is Take 5 on Commonside, but have decided not to go after hearing a few things from others.
Would like to know of others to aid Sunday morning recovery.:)

Hehe, being the bloke that I am, I was rather hoping for a less stressful environment than a shop :D

Mrs Miggs just off West Street do a good breakfast. Don't know if they're open on Sundays though.

Ummm... something about rats in the yard and short back doors. Am I allowed to say that? I must say that I was told that.

There are probably more rats than people in any big big city, - they're often your closest neigbours :D

I had a big slap-up Yorkshire breakfast today, with all the trimmings! Sausage, bacon, egg, fried bread, beans, mushroom and a hash brown! Yum, yum. (No tomato 'cos I don't like 'em)

No Black Pudding??

A Hash Brown is not part of a Yorkshire or English breakfast. It is an american invention. Ask anyone over a certain age and they probably won't even know what a Hash Brown is!

Well, whatever. I had some mashed potato going spare so thought I may as well use it. Unfortunately I was told what Black Pudding is made of before I'd ever tried it, which put me off somewhat.

Maybe some day I'll try it, but I'd have to be tricked into thinking it's something else!

If you want the best brekkie in Sheffield, go to O'Reilly's, opposite Walkley library and order a Megga, or if you can't quite face that go for the belly buster.

Great hangover beater :)

So you'll eat cow's ass but not a bit of blood
