On my way into work this morning I was walking down past Devonshire Green and noticed that it was absolutely littered with rubbish. Was there an event going on down there last night or something?
I fail to see how it can be so difficult to pick up your empty bottle / can of beer / crisp packet / sandwich box, put them in the carrier bag you brought them in and put it into a bin. People are so incredibly lazy!
Now Sheffield City Council has to pay someone to clean it all up this morning. Someone should have been down there yesterday handing out on the spot fines for littering!
No event, just the accumulation of lots of lazy people and the other usual scum that sit around there at weekends, its been like that for three days now.
theyned more bins (several were full) and get the little scrotes putting htir empty beer can in it.
if I go out to a park I always have a carrer bag to but my empties in and then put it in a bin. so easy.
Don't get me started.
I walk to work through the estate behinf The Classic Rock Bar and it is absolutely disgisting the amount of litter blowing around there.
It is beyond me how people can not find a bin. I was walking home last Summer when this drunk finishisd off his Kestral Special Brew, dropped it onto the floor and booted it into the road. This was while he was stood next to a bin!
I asked him why he couldn't put it into the bin. He thought for half a second then told me to shut my ****in mouth and mind my own business!!! He then offered to fight me (he was about 50), saying he was older than me etc
I started to laugh at him and said as he was older, he should know better......
Chavonshire Green is always covered in litter. Ifel sorry for the poor fella the council employ to pick it up - people throw stuff right in front of him.
Yep, I noticed all the rubbish when I was walking back to my flat on Sunday night - the place was absolutely littered (pardon the pun!) with the stuff.
If its one thing that bugs me, its that people sat out enjoying the best weather Mother Nature can deliver us (i.e. warm sun), but have no respect for their surrounding environment. I mean how hard is it to go and throw a bit of rubbbish in a bin? Not doing so is just lazy, ignorant and irresponsible. Some people just naturally assume that someone else will pick it up after them.

people should be fined for dropping litter, but god what a boring thred why dont u just shut up about it.
Litter may be boring but this wasn't just litter, this weekend it looked like a full on festival had taken place. For people who live there and have to look at the place its an absolute eyesore, and it made it such an unpleasant place no-one else could go out and enjoy the sun there this weekend.
