Strange but true... It looks like Farscape favourite Ben Bowder is in the new series of Stargate SG 1 :o
Rather cool if you ask me

Yup...this was announced just after the last season aired in the US. Jack O Neill is being sidelined, and Browder is his replacement. There are other new faces in Stargate (and Atlantis) this year, and also Claudia Black will guest star for 6 episodes! Can't wait!

Excellent! Sounds like something to really look forward to. Saw the original 'Stargate' film for the first time in ages recently - I keep forgetting what a great film it is!

As you say, I'd prefer some more 'Farscape', but then again after the sheer QUALITY of the recent mini-series, perhaps 'Farscape' should end on that incredibly high note.

Indeed. Farscape was cut down before its time, but managed to get a cracking finale mini-series after fan protests. It was such a reward, and a high note to end on. There have been rumours of a possible film spin-off from Farscape, and we may eventually see it come to light....until then, it is wonderful to see Browder taking steps into another great show.

I agree about Farscape. It should never have been axed. It was/is some of the best sci-fi out there.
I also agree about Ben Bowder coming to SG1 being a great thing. I'm suprised it's taken so long for him to get a new role. I fully expected seeing him films by now.

I've loved watching Farscape, even when it's been on re-runs on Sci-Fi or BBC2, but thankfully the delicious Ben Browder is coming the Stargate
I just need Babylon5 to be back up and running, (no spin-offs) and I'll indeed be a happy bunny
In a strange way I miss the vorlons ;)

B5 were going to do another film called The Memory of Shadows in April, but it isnt going ahead now as the financing couldn't be worked out and the production was halted

Apparently they wanted to use different actors as well.

I don't think it would have been the same if they had used different actors. The appeal of B5 was the characters, and how we grew to know them and love/hate them.

Yes you are right, it was the characters that made the series, some really god ones that grew on you, the Londo vs J`Kar ones were excellent, but then 2 good actors played them.

Loved the first episode of season 9. The Browder humour is there as the episode focussed mainly on him uniting the team back. SG1 is getting better each year.

Saw Atlantis episode 1 from new season too and what a climax to the cliffhanger from last year!

It's a good year for Sci Fi (especially with Galactica season 2 on too!!!)
