Went for a VW service a few weeks ago, being a woman and not really knowing my mechanical stuff, I thought everything would be ok. Spent £200 for basic service and I now found out it hasn't even been done properly!
The pollen filter hasn't been changed, there is loads of old brown leaves in there, and this is why i have felt bits going in my eyes the past few weeks-
Thank god a mate of mine checked this.
Anyhow phoned them tonight, told me the services dept would ring back and as suspected they never did.
Should I just turn up tommorow and ask them to change it?
What would you do?

double check pollen filters are included in a service.i had to pay for mine replacing on my avensis @ the last service.
it does look like they never even checked it though.

a pollen filter is easy enough to change, but if it has been listed and not changed then you are right to complain. I have a Seat Ibiza, a vw group car based on the polo. I got one for mine for less than £5 from partco on broadfield rd. if you want to do it yourself try them. If you can see the old one you should know how to swap it.
