Go down to McDonalds or Starbucks, see if you can pick up a wifi hotspot from there. If you can its going to be your router. Have you got anything else pulling off the wifi on the router?

No my pc is connected by a wire.

Are you sure that your router has wireless capabilities? If so, is the wireless option switched on?

Check the security settings, does your router use Wep, wpa. Check if you need to add the mac address of the iPod to your router as a list of trusted devices.

Done that - it uses wpa

Log into your router using the setup page (usually http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 ) and go to the wireless settings page in there..
