Was going to say, I didn't think it was possible to unlock a Storm.

But, as a review of the phone, I've had one for about 5 months, been in or repair once as the screen lost some of its sensitivity but that was sorted no problem. Does a hell of a lot for a phone, but it does have a few issues (like any PC I suppose) with crashing now and again or freezing. Simply turning it off and back on sorts this out though and I've never really had any software problems or anything.

I very much like it, and would reccomend it.

Cheers,

Might think about it,
Is it not worth unlocking then?

Blackberry Storm is exclusive to Vodafone, much like the iphone is exclusive to O2. I don't think its possible to unlock it, the handsets are Vodafone handsets and you can only get them directly through Vodafone, or a company such as P4U which will get it directly from Vodafone.

Plus if you were to get it unlocked, on another network you would lose half the funcionality

Its true it is a Vodafone exclusive, but Exspansys were selling unlocked Storms (still branded), there is a new Storm launching soon, don't know which network if any will be offering it. Must admit, I've used Blackberrys at work for years and just couldn't get on with the Storm, maybe its just down to the touch screen but it did seem laggy after the Curve. What I would say though is that the Storms screen is fantastic and I do like feel of it, maybe the one I tried had an early buggy version of the firmware.

Don't get one, they're rubbish. Much better getting a curve or a bold.

blackberry storm can be unlocked no problem, if you buy from CPWH 9 out of 10 times the phone handset is gsm stock with a sim pack even if its exclusive to a certain network.bought trade from there loads of times and i always get gsm stock.
