Hi all
youve probably heard this one before, but im looking at the following areas: Lodge Moor/Fullwood/Crosspool/Broomhill/Hallam/Hunters Bar
Can i get a decent 3/4 bedroom detached house in these areas for £240k
Lodge moor is top of the list as i grew up there
There are a few on the market Lodge Moor that have been on for quite a while. Think if you drive around you'll spot some - Try rightmove for a rough idea of prices.
We sold a 3 bed semi in x-pool 3 years ago for £240k
I think (know) you'll struggle to get a detached in lodge moor for your budget, you'll get a 3 bed semi though.
The last house on the right (opposite new housing estate) going towards the three merry lads was up for a cool million - I reckon you could make the Halifax a very generious offer of 50 pence

Your area also covers S11 (Hunters Bar)
You will struggle getting a detatched for that money but you never know in these times.
Searching S10/11 for a 3/4 detatched upto £260k only a few houses turn up.
You might have to settle for a semi.

S6 is your best bet, how close to Hillsborough can you go before before the ghosts of SUFC players of old strike you down?!?
As I said before detatched houses in Crosspool are very rare in your price bracket, they will probably need plenty of work.
Just 3 in S10 around your budget on Rightmove

You might have to compromise either on the area or the type of house.
