good morning everyone
i hope the rain didn't spoil your walk yesterday, we were out walking and got caught in it, i thought about you all, when we were getting drenched.
anyway, i want to buy my hubby some walking boots for fathers day and really dont know where to start, i am told that walkers need good socks does this mean we need a size bigger boot, and also which is the best shop, i really have no clue where to start has anyone got any advice for me please

CCC's ( Go Camping?) off Bramhall Lane will measure you and have a bucket of socks for you to try the boots on with. The staff also know how the boots fit right and will talk to you about the fittings. Hope this makes some kind of sense.
Foothills.co.uk in Nether Edge is also very good too and perhaps has a better selection.

I'd echo Hippiechick3 and try Go Outdoors, formally CCC. It no use just going on size alone, some makes of boot tend to be wider than others and a proper fitting really is essential.
