I think he was waiting for that! There is no physical explanation for it anyway. There is no reason for a TASER to do anything other than cause local spasm and pain, so I'm not surprised that he got up and ran! AJ sheffield 07-06-2009, 19:52 He was at point blank so the device was operating in handset mode just like any other stun gun. Like this the current path would have been very small, just a few inches and nothing like it would had the probes been fired. flamingjimmy 07-06-2009, 20:56 He was at point blank so the device was operating in handset mode just like any other stun gun. I'm not quite sure what you're saying. Dhimmi 07-06-2009, 21:03 He was at point blank so the device was operating in handset mode just like any other stun gun. Like this the current path would have been very small, just a few inches and nothing like it would had the probes been fired. How come so? The probes on the fired device would have to be separated significantly more for there to be a difference, e.g. the current would have to flow across the whole body, so one probe to the left arm and the other to the right perhaps. My understanding is that they have to be as close together on the fired weapon as on the hand-held weapon, otherwise it could kill. AJ sheffield 07-06-2009, 21:11 How come so? My understanding is that they have to be as close together on the fired weapon as on the hand-held weapon, otherwise it could kill. Many of the people I have seen hit by these in probe shot have a much bigger footprint than when used has a handheld device. I have had normal stun guns used on me before and I would think there would be a significant increase in the effect felt had the probes been several inches apart other than just two or three. For starters the bigger muscle group involved would mean a bigger increase in lactic acid and a bigger increase in pain. Dude111 08-06-2009, 07:08 It might be fake... (Seeing as he gets away from them (We all know COPS dont let that happen)) |
