Hi, i am looking to transfer 1 8mm roll of cine film to dvd


i have a tv card, dvd burner, all the software etc. i have done vhs loads of times, but my problem is a cine film player.

does anyone have any knowledge of them? or know where i could pick one up?

also what outputs do they have for me to input to my pc?

The ones I have seen work inconjunction with a video camcorder.

You play the cine film on a normal projector, but there is a little prism box that interfaces the lens on the projector with the lens on the camcorder.

and then you input the camcorder to the pc?

any experience of doing this yourself or know somewhere that does?

might have to end up paying to have it done

It sounds like paying someone else to do it might be the best way, unless you already have a camcorder and projector... You can play around with just filming a screen (there are various tricks like putting tippex on the bulb to even the light), but results vary so you're better buying the right kit.
