So, I was wondering when Walkley Festival was this year as I haven't heard anything about it. Only missed it by a month:loopy:

nice to see it was well advertised. I remember a flower festival at the church and that was about it.

the whole lack of advertising astonishes me. I don't attend church or use the local library and don't have kids in local schools. How are you meant to find out about these things?

Seems a shame that you missed it, but now you know about the Walkley Forum perhaps you ought to contact them and let them know how you feel about the lack of publicity not just for the festival but for any other local events you may care to attend.
As you rightly said, if you don't attend church or the library or have kids in the local schools, how on earth are you supposed to find out about these things.
I'm sure there are other people who would have liked to know about this sort of thing before it happens.
