My poot little boy was hit by a car on Wednesday night on our road.

He is according to the vet "a very tough and lucky boy"...... hes dislocated his hip, which is now been worked on so it has a pin in it and had to have quite a few stiches on his back legs. It was horrific, luckily my neighbours saw him bolt into the garden (with his hind area slightly trailing) and run under the decking.

We had to take the decking up with a crow bar to get him out, he was in shock and just looked petrified. I took him to the PDSA vets as for some reason thought it was like an emergency drop in for all (in the panic of it all forgot id moved vets and this was no longer my emergency one). They gave him pain relief on the night but there service and treatment of me was awful...ill post more later just running around mad today!

I just had to let you all know - he was one of the 1st few adopted kitties from the "pets" section - feel i always have to update you on his goings on!! Im just so reliefed he's survived this - and will hopefully make a good recovery.

My plea for help is - i need a cat cage as he needs at least 3 weeks in one so his movement is minimum. Anyone have one to sell, lend, borrow, hire etc? Or recommend where i can get one? Need to ring vets just now but think i could have him home this afternoon!

How big does it need to be?

I've not heard of a cat cage, but if you want to borrow one that's about springer spaniel sized, let me know

I have a small crate (sort of terrier size) and a large cat carrier that you're welcome to borrow. Neither are in terribly good nick (but are ok) and the catch on the carrier is a little broken but still holds a cat unless it's good at escaping!

Let me know if you want me to drop by with them and see if you want to use one.

I won't be needing either as I have another carrier for my puddy and the dogs are FAR too big to need the crate!

Glad he's doing ok, just let me know if you want to look at either of them (they're both at my shop also, so if you can get to Abbeydale Rd pop in between 12 and 5:30 weekdays or 10-5 Saturdays)

Good luck!

I've got a huge crate which will fit bed plus litter tray in if you would like it- you'd be welcome to it for as long as is needed.

Guys im so sorry this update is so late!

Had a reselection at work and everythings been hectic carring for little lad.

Im very very very pleased to say he is making a great recovery. Is like a little caged lion prowling in the cage on the kitchen table as we speak - and being very vocal about his current situation!!

Thanks for the offers of cage loan too - i got one early Saturday from my mums friend, so my wee lad got straight in it. He was quite poorly at 1st but slowly but surely is back to quite good health, still a bit shakey on his legs, and is in the vets Thursday.

Thanks again for your kind words as they meant a lot when i posted this, just so glad Ziggys been one of the few lucky ones
