I have had two female guinea pig of approximately 2 years old come to Sheffield Cavy Rescue. I would like them to be rehomed as soon as possible so they can settle down and enjoy the rest of their lives. They are in S2 Heeley but i can deliver if absolutely necessary (I would prefer a collection).I am asking for a £20 donation for the pair to ensure a good home and to enable me to keep rescuing others in need and provide them with food, veg, hay etc.
They both have medium length hair and are currently living indoors. They will come complete with their cage, water bottles, a large amount of Waggs optimum food, hay and their food dish. All that i dont provide is veg. Both are very timid at the moment as they havent had much handling due to their previous owner being allergic to them. However they are very friendly once on your knee. Their previous owner rehomed them from someone who had neglected them unfortunately. One of them had a bit of a nasty sore on her side in the past and has been left with a very small bald patch which isnt very noticable. But they are both now in very good health.
Can you give them the home they deserve? If so please PM me anytime and I will get back to you. i am in tomorrow night for you to collect them
Thanks
Lottie
A friend of mine was going to purchase a guinea pig from graves park earlier, but they had none left for sale (the guy said he was waiting for 4 weeks for more). I will get in touch with her for you.

RobbyBrown 04-06-2009, 07:33 Hi Lottie
I've got a male gunea pig called "Les" and he is on his own while I'm at work.
These 2 females I think would make him very happy, could I come and look at them and I/and "Les" may be interested in giving them a new home
*Peaches* 04-06-2009, 07:40 RobbyBrown - If he's not neutered you'll end up with lots of babies ;)
Lottie, why not advertise them on Guinea Pig Rehome? I have a few on there and usually get brilliant homes :)
lottie_s 04-06-2009, 14:52 I think they may have gone to a friend of the person who took Muffin. She text me this morning. But I will write on here to confirm once collected.
aww they are cuties but my bad husband won't allow me anymore piggies !
anyone want a husband free to good home ?

The piggies have now been rehomed to a lovely lady who has 4 other sows and some rabbits. It makes me so hapy to know that they have gone to a good homes.
Keep your eyes peeled as i will have more rescues available soon

Hiya
Is Les neutered? I am not prepared to let my pigs be used for breeding unless I know 100% sure they will have forever homes and it is for the right reasons. Any way there are plenty of guinea pigs in rescues looking for a forever home. Are you interested in a male pig that may bond with yours? Guinea pigs should NOT be kept alone unless it is for health reasons
RobbyBrown 04-06-2009, 17:44 Lottie S and peaches, Les is gay and so theres no need to worry, he only has to hear a crisp packet and he becomes nervous, plus the fact he is very quiet/gentle.
Les hasn’t been neutered as theres no need
The 2 females would keep him company, and perhaps stir the more sociable side of his nature

We had Les for a week, unfortunatly the budgie we had passed away early May. We wanted a small animal like a budgie, but preferably one that couldn't fly.
We'd like Les to have a couple of friends, not too keen on another male as he may not be too keen on the idea of sharing his home with another male.
mummysaz21 04-06-2009, 18:23 robby brown are ya kidding dident getin him neutered and hes gay so he wont breed ,you will end up with litter after litter

:loopy: I cant believe you actually think your guinea pig is gay lol. Your guinea pig should NOT be kept alone. This is one of the reasons he is nervous along with the fact you havent had ime long and so he hasnt had time to settle in and get used to all the strange sounds. Guinea Pigs feel safer in numbers. He is gentle/ quiet because he is alone. You need to get him another male to be with NOT female. How old is he?

I am not trying to get at you it just seems like you are a bit nieve. I know that if you got another male for your current pig then most rescues will happily take him back if they arnt the right match for one another. Please forget the idea of having a female. My females have gone now to a good home however I am constanly getting guinea pigs in and out so if you would like me to put you on the waiting list for a male guinea pig please let me know. If you do adopt a male from me all I ask for is a donation to keep the rescue going and if you do ind that they dont get on then I also ask that you return the pig directly to me. You will not receive a refund
Thanks
