i'm starting the Film and Media production MA course at Sheffield Hallam this September and am looking to make contact with anyone who's doing the same, or have been on the course already - either the BA or MA.

I went to Psalter Lane last year, to study Media Studies. I thought they were moving to the city campus?

They plan to in the next few years. I am doing BA Film and Media Production on the Psalter Lane campus in september, i opted not to live in halls and chise a place called Hilary House as my first choice, cos it looked close to the campus and town, somewhere in between. Speaking of which, does anyone know the exact location?

Thanks for the replies. yeah there's some building/renovation work going on, but having been shown round the place i assumed they couldn't be moving just yet, but y'know - suprises happen, so thanks for the confirm. having had a look round, the equipment is pretty decent but i guess it should be given the cost of the course - ouch. if you're planning on doing the MA 'messedup' then i'd seriously try and get sponsorship/grants sorted out as early as poss (which i didn't, so i'm paying for it myself and that's not good). what kind of units are you going to be doing as part of the BA? i'm doing the MA having done a BA in English (with film theory, Euro & American cinema + one short film), so it would be good to know what other areas they programme at undergrad level.
