The Library Theatre will be hosting its annual One Act Play festival next week and it promises to be bigger and better than ever this year with 14 plays being performed over 5 days.
The event is a great opportunity for local groups to showcase their talents with the best being recognised at the awards ceremony which takes place at the theatre on the final night.
The programme is varied as always and subjects this year range from teenage angst, hallucinating children, snooker loopy brothers and even canine tragedy - something for everyone then!
Three plays will be performed each evening (except the Saturday when there will be two followed by the awards ceremony) and feedback on each will be presented by the festival adjudicator. Its a great opportunity for local groups to showcase the best of their talent and a great opportunity for thrifty theatre goers to see three plays for the price of one with tickets for each evenings programme priced at just £7.00.
If you would like to find out more about the festival you can pick up a programe flyer at the central library or check out the SADATA facebook page for details of each evenings events.
Tickets can be obtained by calling 0114 255 1367 or by emailing priorymount@blueyonder.co.uk, performances start at 7.00 p.m.
