I am rejoicing at every bad piece of news I hear about Newcastle and their financial situation. I neither love nor hate the club but it's all good for the other 23 clubs in the division if they are in a complete mess. I hope Geoff Sheard comes in and Ashley excepts his offer, that would be mint:)

In the same paper as that Mallett thing, the blades are supposedly going to tempt Leeds to swap £3m rated Beckford for £1.5m plus Billy Sharp... I don't know which story is more ridiculous!

Certainly though, if the Mallett one is true, you'd think he'd have bucketloads to invest, and wouldn't need any special deals that shaft the people owed money by the Owls?

he was going backwards and forwards to america with the last takeover, that's when a lot of people were saying he was in talks with a consortium involving john harkes

According to the Sunday people canadian multi millionaire Jeff Mallett is the latest name to be taking over at hillsborough!

Says he's been in contact with a shareholder and discussions are at an early stage

Is this just another flash in the pan..........?

Another flash in the pan m8, I don't believe the papers the best of time's and when it come's to the Sunday one's i laugh at em half the time.
