Recently being warmer i get sleepy in the afternoon and take a little nap.

Yeah I'm only 24 and feel sometimes if its warm i need a little sleep in the afternoons. In fact i need one right now (but that could be due to the fact i have a massive hangover and only had four hours sleep last night!).

The onle problem I have is that if you sleep in the afternoon then you usually wake up with a headache, especially when its warm...

Everybody !

Carry on with the afternoon siestas------they're good for you in every way.
I've always enjoyed an afternoon nap and my first teaching job abroad was in Kuwait , where an afternoon nap is almost obligatory.
It turns every day into almost two days , refreshes you and in most jobs the best work is done in the mornings.
It used to amuse me , in Saudi Arabia , later , where I worked , that even the locals would sleep in the aftyernoon , whereas a lot of the , "macho" , ex-pats would boast about going out all day. They usually fell ill. Well , . "Mad dogs and Englishmen ........" and all that !

I'm 23 and I have a nap most evenings after work- be it hot or cold. As sad as it sounds, I actually look forward to it! :)

Yes,

Quite frequently. Had a nap this afternoon, actually! I find that provided I don't overdo it in terms of sleeping heavily it really revitalises me.

When I commuted to Leeds a lot the best thing I did was to start leaving the car at home and catching a nap on the coach coming home.

I aso used to have a little (25 minute) nap in the evening for a few years, but tenmd not to do taht so much now unless I'm really shattered.

Part of the fun is getting to that 'half and half' state of mine where you're relaxed and half asleep. I find that really relaxing and restful.

As I'm fond of quoting to others, all I need is 7 hours of sleep a night........

.......and 8 hours in the day

and I can tackle anything.

I like a nap in the morning, probably because I stay up so late -
usually go to bed sometime between 2 and 4 in the morning. I tend to get up, have breakfast and go back to bed for a nap! Failing that, I'll have nap in the afternoon.

Ive felt sleepy a lot lately, thought there was something wrong with me, or my hormones or something.
Could just be that i think ive had a good sleep at night but havent.
and so fall asleep in the day.

I used to love having an afternoon nap, but now I have a two year old son, and if I tried to have a snooze in his presence he would crack me on the noggin with his thomas the tank engine! I'm so jealous of all you afternoon snoozers!

I love having afternoon naps, and I would probably have one most days if I didn't have to work for a living! I pretty much always have one on Saturdays if I'm not doing anything. I always used to have one on Sundays as well - but I'm trying to get out of that as it really messes my sleep up on Sunday night, and I end up knackered at work the next day. I find I appreciate the sleep so much more in the afternoon - it's almost like a different kind of sleep from at night.

I love having powernaps, particularly a few hours before going out so they set you up for the night. I could do with one at the moment after being sat in a boiling hot stuffy office all day with no air conditioning. I like it hot but not that hot when at work.:gag:

Having just been woken from my siesta by some bumhole of a taxi driver who wants his horn ramming where the sun doesn't shine, I am not in the best of moods

Back to the sunlounger now :D
