My mate's just sold/ lost his blue Subaru to a gang presenting a forged Lloyds bankers draught.
He asked to see extra ID n everything but even that was forged.
Police say they are currently operating in the area & he's the 10th to be hit.
Beware if you are selling your expensive cars.
Anyone with any news, names, addreses etc please let me know. :thumbsup:

dodgy garage down my way thats full of 20 year olds with subarus...
gets raided every now and then I think they fit cars together change numberplates etc.

I put my sister's car on autotrader and got more emails from people wanting to send bankers drafts than those wanting to come an look at it. About 20 times as many.
Autotrader warns people that bankers drafts can be forged and although the bank credits you with the money it will be taken off you later, after the car has changed hands.

Birmingham based (with Brummy accents)
presenting Bristol - issue forged bankers draughts.
Description of suspect - the body of Jimmy Somerville, head of Beavis :o Should be easy to spot with a description like that!

Who exactly has been close enough to Jimmy Somerville to make the comparison?

Know exactly where you mean Carl-Malibu, think there is still a bit of activity down there.
One of the other major problems around the area at present is the gangs that will target your house for the keys having either followed you in your quality motor home from where ever you have been or by simply going about in the early hours selecting vehicles on driveways and attacking the address for the vehicle keys.
The keys for some reason always seem to be left in the most obvious places, usually the hook that says "quality car keys here, help yourself".
God only knows how much the insurance premiums will start to go up in some areas of Sheffield when they are losing Lexus and other quality vehicles at such an alarming rate.
I keep my humble Honda Civic keys well out of the way of prying eyes, not that its quality enough to want knicking though.
