I'm trying to find something to stop my very adorable kittie climbing up my curtains, before they end up looking like ribbons. Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried using pepper as i'd read about that on someone's post somewhere else, but don't know what else to try or whether to admit defeat and just get new curtains once she's got over this faze she appears to be going through.
Any ideas folks??

this reminds me of my now 6 month old kitten who used to climb the curtains and walk along the pole? oh he used to enjoy climbing up jeans and sitting on my shoulder too but now he goes out and about has grown up and all his energy is put into playing outside now no expert but am sure she will grow out of it ?
Citronella essential oil - cats hate it.
I used this when my cats were kittens to stop them scratching. Just put a couple of drops around the area they're showing an interest in and it will put them off for sure. Also it smells quite nice to humans.

What about Soft Paws - they are little plastic covers for their claws. I use them on all my 6 indoor cats. But the only problem is that they should not go outside whilst wearing these - as they cannot defend themselves should they need to. The covers glue on so it is not like you can take them off for trips outside - was thinking that if your kit had these on then they would not be able to grip to climb up your curtains and maybe grow out of trying

Thanks guys, i'll try and get some of that Citronella stuff - do you know where the best place for it is? We have two kitties one at 10 months and the other at 11 weeks, its the youngest that does the scratching, the other just enjoys lots of cuddles.
get a spray bottle and squwert her with a little bit of water when she goes too close to them.
