hi all we are goin away fri till mon will the rat b ok till we get back if he feed and watered or will i need a setter for him thanks

If he's on his own I'd say definitely definitely not. I wouldn't want to leave a group over the weekend really but if he's on his own he'd need even more company than a group.
I'm sure someone will be able to offer him a temporary home :)

Hi Wendy I can look after him from friday till monday if necessary.

the rat should not be alone period its really quite cruel to keep a rat alone...but yes to go away he will need someone to look after him

he had 2 but one died about 3 months back and hes been fine he is always out off is cage and new things added weekly so we are not been cruel if we was we would leave him on is own 4 the weekend

you could get him a friend you kno most rats take to babies fine :) he would be alot less lonely, even if hes out alot he cant be out 24/7

we have thought about getting friend for him we will wait till we get back and get another

theres lots of guides on the net on introing rats..males can be a little trickier but its not impossible ive bonded a group of five. two babies might be better so that they arent bugging him to play as he will be older
