Hi all,

I need an ATX power supply tomorrow morning (Saturday) so the normal places such as Ebay and Ebuyer are out.

Can anyone recommend a shop where I can pick one up for a reasonable price? I'd rather not pay PC World prices if I can help it. If anyone has a spare they want to sell that would do too.

Thanks in advance...

Onestoppcshop in Firth Park or Chapeltown should have one for around the £10-15 mark

If you pay £10-15 for a PSU, you are asking for trouble. PSU's are a much overlooked component of PC's. Cheap ones can cause brown outs and can be unreliable. Look to pay no less than £20. General rule of thumb is if they are heavy, it's good quality.

Well I've had my "cheap" power supply for years - it's never given me any trouble

I agree, I've paid £100 for my latest PSU, it is very heavy, very powerful and very quiet (silent in fact).

You get what you pay for.
