Rehome or Sale? Sale
Reason for Sale? We are selling our African Grey parrot (Perry) as recent changes now mean we don't have the right amount of time to take care of him.
Sale Amount? £500 ono, thats including cage and toys etc.
Location? Sheffield
Type of bird? African Grey Parrot
With Cage
Is the bird hand tame? Yes, although he prefers females.
Age & Sex? 7 Years old. We are unaware of the sex of Perry as when we purchased him we were told that the procedure for finding out the sex is quite traumatizing for the bird.
Colour? Grey with red tail.
Live in / out? Lives inside.
Any Current or Historical Health Issues? None at all, recently went through a stage of plucking his feathers although this is natural for birds.
Temperament? Perry is well tempered, we have never been attacked by him and he is always keen for attention/ stroking.
Any special knowledge needed? None, although we would like Perry to go to a home with knowledge of decent bird keeping.
Perry is also an excellent mimic, he regularly copies what he say, phone calls, ringtones, door noises, birds he hears outside etc.. These birds have a fairly long life span as I understand, average between 45- 60 years so Perry is still pretty young.
