Can't you go and stop with relatives or friends, or get some one to stop with you.
Police won't do anything unless something actually happens!
They don't seem to like trying to prevent a crime.

you wanna ring police back and say the gang came round, so you've tied them up and are poking them with sawn off shotgun. They'll be round in a few mins ;)

DISCLAIMER: Please don't actually do this ;)

I don't suppose you told any mates you were gonna be home alone? I'd guess its someone you know messing about.

I can understand this is a bit scary for you. Is there nobody at all you can call to come and keep you company for the night, nobody you can go to?
I hope it is just some of your friends p**sing you about, but unfortunately the police won't rush to your aid unless a crime is committed, which is no consolation to you.
If all else fails, and you're still feeling vulnerable, then 'phone your parents and let them try to arrange something for you.

Making a threatening phonecall is a crime. It's just a matter of the number of emergencies they're dealing with pushing a report like that further down the queue.

Glad you got it sorted Carl - hope you feel safer now.

Did you do 1471 to see if you could get the number they were ringing from?

Tell BT (or your phone network supplier). They might arrange to intercept calls, and possibly even trace abusive callers.

Have a whistle by the phone. If you get another abusive call, simply blast the whistle down the line.

But let's hope this doesn't happen again.
