I have just turfed my garden and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long I need to leave it before I can let the kids go on it.

i think we left ours about a week, best thing to do might be to call a garden centre in the morning, i know its not much use right now but not sure what else i could suggest

I was told to leave mine about six to eight weeks before walking on it. :(

If it's watered in well and the root system has took on the soil it has been laid on, you can normally walk on it within 4 weeks, but, if we have a hot spell and it doesnt get watered regularly, then it's 6-8 weeks.

heh shows how much I know, ours was a while ago, Like i said, prob best to ring the garden centre in the morning :D sorry

Cheers for the advice guys. I must admit, I would have just waited a week like nomis said. I definitely didn't wait that long when I did it in my last house.:confused:

We waited 5 or 6 minutes, growing lovely

It's a week but try not to be too rough on it at first.
