Is The House Skateboard Park suitable for a total beginner (12 yr old), can just about stand up on board?

It is suitable. But to be honest, probably best if you let him practise on the street a bit until he's really confident riding about as the experienced skaters in there tend to fly about like bats out of hell!

Not that I'm a pro myself but if he can just about stand up on it then I agree with the above; he'd be far better to go up and down the street a few times until he feels confident with that. Sounds boring I know but he won't be able to do anything with ramps, pipes, bars, etc until he masters the basics.

Can you tell me where that park is, please? My son loves skating

The house skatepark has a mini section for beginners, they also provide helmets so your son should be safe.
