Just posting to see if anyone has any idea what these could be. I have grown my tomatoes in the pots you just plant when roots are coming through the sides and been planting them today. All over the sides are like little orange lentils never seen them before and just wondered what they could be and if they could cause problems.
Haha - I started my sunflower seeds in same kind of pots and mine got "orange lentils" on the outsides (nearer the bottom) too. I presumed it was some sort of fungus - cos the pots were damp and warm, but I planted them out anyway adn they seem to be doing OK.
Just been up to the allotment and noticed I've got "lentils" on the toilet rolls that my beans are growing in :hihi: It's a mystery!
