The eye passed over us with 120 mph winds. Went without electricity for 3 days with temps in the high 90s. I don't advise a holiday in Florida anytime from July to October. I am trying to cool down now in the a/c. A holiday to Sheffield sounds really good right now. Fareast 14-07-2005, 03:55 Funke88 , Please don't think we've had it easy in Britain. We've had Hurricane Gordon hovering over the country for years. It has the strange power to lift coins , cheques and paper money straight out of your pockets. The money goes flying in the air and we never see it again. I won't even tell you about Hurricane Prescott ------you'd never believe it anyway. Funke88 14-07-2005, 17:03 Oh I know Fareast. I was born and raised in Sheffield and hear it all from my parents. They're always complaining about something or other. |
