It won't be any current sports star as by the time we host the olympics it will be time for them to collect their pensions. It could be Wayne Rooney but probably only if he sorts out his behaviour.

He were reyt grand at settin fires.

He would have stepped back with soot all over his face and cheeky grin, and said "did you like that?"

id like david beckham to do it actually........then the flame ignites because of his highly flamable beauty products and he just runs round the track on fire ....setting a new world record for 200 meters...then he jumps in a pool to put it out...and drowns.

Sadly too true, especially in relation to Jane Tomlinson... would love to see her do it if she's still about. A sad and sobering thought.

I think that would be a fantastic idea mate!

Jane for me is what the UK is all about, not giving in to anything and having the strength to overcome the greatest obstacles in life.

Thats why for me.. Jane is the perfect choice to light the olympic flame, not seb coe and definitely not the beckhams.
