We got married at Whitely Hall Hotel - near Grenoside - some 9 years ago, and had a wonderful day. Many of our guests stayed over. Bear in mind, however, that there may be along waitling list, which is why we decided to have our wedding on a Friday. I hope this helps.

A friend of mine also got married last year at Whitley Hall & we stayed over.
It was lovely, the venue was great, lovely gardens for photos especially if the weather holds up, which it did for theres so we all sat outside & the room for the reception had french doors out on to the gardens which was great.

The meal was lovely & quite informal, but I can imagine it to be formal if you wanted.

The room was lovely as well, we had a family room & it was better than the honeymoon suite, subsequently everyone ended up in our room!!

I would recommend it

Thankyou so much for that. I haven't seen this one. I thought I had seen all venues aswell.
It looks so nice. How much did it cost you if you dont mind telling me. Also if you know , how much were the rooms? It doesn't matter if you dont know.
Thankyou once again.

The Sheffield council website has a section about weddings, including all the legal stuff, and that should link you to a list of all the local licensed venues. It also has a link to a national government site (which i cant remember the name of) which lists these nationally by area. All you have to do then is look up/google each venue. I think the confetti website also has lists of venues. And if you want a small venue, there's an ideal one with guest rooms in Ashford in the Water.

There's a few places in Derbyshire too, Eyam Hall do weddings as does Riber Hall near Matlock. Don't know if they have enough rooms for your guests too, but there would be lots nearby!!

You can't stay over there, but Whirlow Brook Hall is just beautiful. And the food is exquisite. And they can do organic for you. And you can take your own wine. And that's all for now.

Brookfield Manor in Hathersage? Though you probably have to book about 2 years in advance to get it...

My mates got a house on the Manor and will put your gusts up in his Nans room as she's in hospital at the moment with a broken hip. For an extra fiver he can do the catering too....if you fancy faggot and chips.

Hassop Hall Hotel on the way to Bakewell is grand old mini stately home, gravel drive peacocks on the lawn etc Goodness knows what it cost but fab venue. Brookfield Manor at Hathersage by the way is being turned back into a private house and I don't think they are doing weddings anymore.

Dont know whether its what youre looking for, but we got married at the Marriot in Nether Edge and couldnt fault it at all. Everything was absolutely amazing, and the food was simply unbeatable.

We got married nearly 2 years ago at the Sitwell Arms in Renishaw.

A little different now ( gym on the back ), but basically the same.

Rooms for overnight stay ( bridal suite as well ), and a good breakfast.

Professional staff, good prices, and excellent food ( meal and buffet ).

Our first choice was the Mosborough Hall Hotel, until they turned it into a building site without telling us. "Don't worry, it'll be done for your wedding." - I think they are still building ( or have only just completed ).

Here is the venue I mentioned :

http://www.riversidehousehotel.co.uk

It has room for 30 guests, so it's small but it also has 15 rooms so could accommodate all of them, and looks very posh. ;)

Wortley Hall at Wortley, just north of High Green. Cheap as chips but dead nice. Beer is well cheap aswell. Its got a snooker table to fall asleep under to boot.
