Can some one tell me where to get a bluetooth dongle in sheffield and can you just plug in and get pics, music etc stright away or do you need software to install on your pc? If so will software come with product?

sorry forgot to add its for a nokia 6230 and bigflesh whats a TDK mate ?

got mine from amazon marketplace.

I bought a posh Gigabyte one from a computer store on London road £30 with all drivers etc and 2 cheap ones from Ebuyer £12, and downloaded all software etc.. no problems. There is no performance difference at all.

I have easily uploaded stuff to all kinds of bluetooth phones. It's really easy, you can download drivers easy and you just copy files easy as copying files from one disk to another.

If you have specific driver troubles, just ask the forummers, we're better than ghostbusters! :cool: :clap:

You usually get a bluetooth symbol in your systray on your windows desktop [where the clock usually is bot right] if you click on that you get explore my bluetooth places, then you can connect to your phone and see folders [directories] on your phone for Music, Pictures, Sounds Videos.

You can dump into these folders or downlad pics, movies and recordings from your phone.

This is just standard driver without using any software or anything. It's all you need really. If you install Nokia software you will probably just finish up messing up your address book and making your Outlook email program messy.

Don't use the Nokia CD disk!

Maplins sell them, but if yo uare running WinXP SP2 your have a nightmare getting it to work .. Microsoft have arsed the bluetooth drivers up!

I bought one from The Link in Meadowhall recently for £30... Works a treat on my Sony Ericcson T610.

First time I've ever bought PC hardware that's actually WORKED straight out of the box without having to mess about much.

Not had a prob with it and SP2 myself, if u do tho malton, just search for the latest widcomm drivers on google. Make sure its nothing else causing the problem first tho ;)
