The easiest way with the 6230 is the take the memory card out of it, and put it in a USB memory card reader. Just get one that supports MMC. You might already have one; my printer has one built in! You can then copy stuff to it drag 'n' drop, then just put your phone back together.

If you really don't want to be taking your phone to bits all the time, the best thing to do it buy a bluetooth dongle for your PC. They're about £40 at PC World, but £15 anywhere else. You just turn bluetooth on on your phone, find it using your PC and 'beam' stuff to it.

Yeah, eBuyer do them quite cheap:

Or go to the computer fair at Don Valley. It's usually the first weekend of the month.

As for use, there is usually some help comes with the dongle and with the phone. Once they are set up it's quite straight-forward.

No, Nokia are in the habit of NOT supplying a cable, then charging £40 for one later on ... In fact, the only phone I have ever got the cable with (except 'smart phones') is the K750i.

Bluetooth dongle is the most flexible way, if you buy a cable then you need to buy one for each phone you have. I use bluetooth for pretty much everything (laptop, PDA, phones, personal and in car handsfree, PC etc...) to save having to upgrade anything other than the phone when that time comes around.

It isn't really a dongle, although in general that's what people know them as. A dongle is a plug which plugs into a computer system which validates software. Used to stop people just copying software.
It is a USB bluetooth adaptor. Although I call them Bluetooth Dongles as well

That won't have been put there by Nokia though, more than likely part of a package from your supplier.

I think that the term has largely changed to mean anything you plug into your PC that's not a component (i.e. something fixed) but not really a peripheral. For example, irda adapters, usb pen drives, rf receivers for wireless mice, that sort of thing.
