Dont know about any other men out there but I can't wait for the wife to return to work after maternity leave. Its been a long 9 months but maternity pay is rubbish and isn't sufficient enough to look after children and pay towards bills. Does anyone else agree.

Im not a man as you can probably tell by my username but maternity pay can be rubbish if its just statatory. Returning to work has benefits but sometimes depending on individual circumstances not always worth while after childcare costs etc.

My husband definitely felt the same...irony is, we were better off while I wasn't working, because childcare for two monsters is a HUGE chunk of our earnings.

However, I do agree, it would be nice if maternity pay was more than a tiny pittance...like, enough to help keep the baby and you clothed, fed and housed, lol.
