i am pretty disappointed that its only one ticket per supporter...... what do you all think?
I think its about fair- with 19000 season ticket holders then if we did 2 per ticket then not everyone would get a ticket.
You can always get yours and then move seats when they ring up after to get theres?
MrSkinner 12-05-2009, 08:33 Yeah, sod those who have been to the previous 23 games and stumped up their loyalty cash at the start of the season. Just give the tickets to those who jumped on the bandwagon!
You expect folk with season tickets and loyalty points to be first, but I would have expected people who went last night to get a head start on the general sale.
With 16000 plus points I am not really bothered I will get mine and the wifes. Loyalty points bye far the fairest way, or if you are going down the stub route it should be Orient in the cup on the Saturday and the Replay stub, that will sort out the part timers for this match
we don't have stubs anymore do we- there all recorded on the central computer- so if you went- they will know about it.
Well if you would have spoken to the ticket office and allocated your account each time you bought one with the alloted points you will be fine.
I've noticed on the OWS that tickets are going on sale on certain days this week dependant on how many 'loyalty' points you have.
I'm a season ticket holder at the Lane, but didnt go to any away games this season. Does anyone know how many 'loyalty' points this will give me?
bladette_24 12-05-2009, 09:20 yes but what about those people who couldnt afford to get a season ticket last season like myself, and has been to as many games as possible this season, and is probably going to have to sit on there own at wembley, seen as your not allowed to request where you want to sit.
I am not saying that the loyalty point system is unfair, but i was expecting 2tickets per season ticke, so naturally when you expect something you get disappointed.

like i say i have been to as many games as i can this season, putting loyalty points on other peoples season tickets, and i went to both legs of the play offs but still have to wait till they go on general sale

You will have at least 2500 points if you have had a season ticket for this season.

I think that with 26354 at last nights game, and at least 4000 of those being from Preston, that the 22,000 blades that DESERVE a ticket should have no problem getting one.
You will have at least 2500 points if you have had a season ticket for this season.
Thanks Scott.

matt1889 12-05-2009, 10:34 What can I say to that Kim?, I think the Loyalty Points system is a great way to seperate true fans from the bandwagon jumpers!, I'm not being funny but if the ticket stub process was in place people would have done similar to what you did and just turned up for the play-offs and then got a Wembley ticket using the Preston stubs, and thats what a lot of people turned up and expected to do but definately not gonna happen which I am very glad about!
At the end of the day the system says it all "LOYALTY POINTS", and the fans who have been most LOYAL through-out the WHOLE SEASON will be rewards for their efforts, simple as that!
And yes it should be one ticket per supporter, but that doesnt mean that two of you cant go down and Que and get a ticket next to eachother does it???
Anyway I've got my ticket on Wednesday morning so I'm an Happy Dandy!
Up The Blades!

Especially after my dialogue with you two years ago, after you were relegated; all the best mate; have a good day.
tallanddopey 12-05-2009, 11:15 What can I say to that Kim?, I think the Loyalty Points system is a great way to seperate true fans from the bandwagon jumpers!,
the loyalty system to me, just looks like it rewards people with time and money. Im at uni and therefore cant go to all the matches, then there are people with families who cant afford or have the time to go to all the matches. at least when it went on sale to season ticket holders first you knew where you stood, and you know what day to go down on.
i havnt got a clue as i dont know how many points i have, does anybody know how the system awards points, or does anybody know a number you can call to get that information? they should have a system on the website where you can key in your customer number and get the info.
and a word on the ticket prices, they are truly extortionate. i know many people who have been down and said that the view is poor on the third tier and the best view is in the £100 section, but who can afford that, 2 tickets for £200 thats what my season ticket cost for next year, absolutely diabolicle, they should be making it easier to see your teams play. they're charging us for the privalige of seeing there overprised landmark.
mattrialeo 12-05-2009, 11:17 Anyone buying £98 tickets? lol, i'm guessing the people that have to buy on general sale will be left with those....
Expensive to say that for enlgland games they only go upto about £48 for the most expensive? (i think)
LADYBIRDS 12-05-2009, 11:17 loyalty points by far the fairest way, with season ticket holders next. As a BLADE of over35 years, a regular season ticket holder, a former regular to away matchs etc, As i now pick my away matchs (7 this season). I fully understand and accept the regular away traveller should be ahead of me in the system.
The one per ticket is understandable if what a pain, i have a 24 seater booked, yet members due to the alloction of tickets will be spread all over the stadium.Rather in a tidy group.
Im at uni and therefore cant go to all the matches, then there are people with families who cant afford or have the time to go to all the matches.
They do student season tickets too which are really cheap and why should united cather to people who don't go to the matches, its unfortunate- yes. But its not uniteds problem at the end of the day.
the loyalty system to me, just looks like it rewards people with time and money.
You mean the people who give money to united- then yes- it does reward them- as it should.
i havnt got a clue as i dont know how many points i have, does anybody know how the system awards points, or does anybody know a number you can call to get that information? they should have a system on the website where you can key in your customer number and get the info..
If you ring up the box office they will tell you how many point you have. And there is a system in place on the web that enables you to do this- you just need to get your password from bramall lane first :D

I agree- but its the FA who set the prices as they have to pay for wembley as soon as possible and they know they have you over a barrel when it comes to football- we will pay it because we love our clubs so much.

matt dont start with me!!!
I have been a loyal fan from a very young change!!!! its not my fault that i couldnt afford to buy a season ticket last season!
I didnt just turn up for the play offs, since christmas i have been to most games, for the seasons, as many as i could afford, so does that not make me a loyal fan, because i couldnt afford to get a season ticket????
and anyway i have got mine on wednesday morning now so i am happy dandy aswell!
rant over!!!!
i cannot believe you of all people think i have jumped on the bandwagon!!

Might be the time to "change boyfriend" to a wealthier version; or to make some more demands on Dad's pocket?
bladette_24 12-05-2009, 12:03 Might be the time to "change boyfriend" to a wealthier version; or to make some more demands on Dad's pocket?
the boyfriend that i had at the start of the season is now gone, and my dad at the time my dad was not in a position to buy me a season ticket
still my question is not answered.......does that not make me a loyal fan???

Perhaps as an outsider, my judgement is not welcomed here; but there are a number of people who cannot afford a season ticket and it doesn't make them less committed suppoprters.
However, the club also need to distinguish between the groups; and a way to do this is to record for which matches they bought tickets (that is when their computers are working, unlike one day last week that caused chaos, eh Scott) or alternatively handed out priority vouchers at less attractive fixtures to non - season ticket holders for such an occasion.
matt1889 12-05-2009, 12:22 See your ranting ove nothing Kim this is'nt a personal attack on you what-so ever, I am just stating the facts luvvy!
The Loyalty system is a good way to grade the commitment of fans over a FULL season, theirs loads of people who could'nt afford to go to the matches at the end of the day and thats rather unfortunate to say the least however those who have been able to go and have scraped together the money then they do deserve it, and thats what the rewards scheme is all about, those who have been most over a season go first, simple as and the right way to do things!

Power is back on apparently.
Power is back on apparently.
Not according to the phone-line :(
I was just going on what it said on the official site.
Bramall Lane and the surrounding area's power supply has now been restored, everything is back to normal.
We apologise for any inconvenience that the power failure may have caused.
Online ticketing has started to work again as I've just checked my points.
do you have to have a password for online ticketing cos i havent used that before?
Yeah, you have to get a password from the ticket office.
got it- sorted- im on 8750 points- damn- just 1 away game short of getting them tomorrow. ah well- ill go on thu after work.

where were all these "loyal" season ticket holders against portvale in the league cup attendance 7,694. i went like i have every home game this season all 28 of them. but because i pay game to game i have to wait till all those who could'nt be arsed with the portvale game have got theirs. this loyalty points system suits the new found supporters from our last flirtation with the premier league. wheres all my loyalty points from attending 46/46 in division 4. thats proper loyalty.
19,000 season ticket holders where were you when we were s**t
tattytilda 12-05-2009, 17:59 if we can get only 1 ticket each does that mean that i have to take my 6 yr old out of school so he can get his?
How about my brother who works in Asia but who will fly over for the match and my mum who lives 300+ miles away?
Is there anyway we can all get tickets and sit together?

No offence but, there's loads of people in sheffield who go to games worrying about getting tickets , they surely get priority over relatives in asia.

The season ticket holders stump up their cash well in advance, which helps the club to plan for the new season, signings etc... they also don't get to pick and choose like on the day fans, or get the cheapo special deals when they're on.
Presumably if you've been to all of the games this season, you'll have accumulated a good amount of points already yourself anyway from those games?
LADYBIRDS 12-05-2009, 20:50 With 16000 plus points I am not really bothered I will get mine and the wifes. :) east fife away !! lingfield away raith rovers away!! included billy boy.

does your bro usually fly over for games. and does your mum travel up for normal league games.

yep been to every home game and 10 away this season. us who sit together take it in turns getting tkts. they give them you all in one name to save time. so wont have my points down. plus a few away games i've borrowed mates season tkts to go and get away tkts i see the game they get the loyalty points. the new wembley will be my 119th ground with the blades. i am also a blade member and a super draw member since it started. i will get tkts no probs but feel for other loyal pay on the day fans who are overlooked. surely non season tkt holders with stubs from preston game should be entitled to a tkt. after all we get 38,000 tkts and there was only 24,000 of us there last night. all blades arnt we.

You're about 3 games away from getting them tomorrow. I've got 8800, even closer

Out of interest, do people believe you'll sell all 37,000.
I can't see it myself with the prices being asked, if you do then good luck to you and I hope you all get one!
bladette_24 13-05-2009, 07:47 i don't know if they will sell out, but i totally agree with abbieal, i am getting my ticket today, i am lucky enough to use somebody's season ticket, as they will not be going.
Just think that like abbieal said, a few fans have been overlooked, its a shame really :(

yes of course, easy sell out. 18,000 season ticket holders i'm sure each 1 of them has a friend who wants to go,

Some good news for you.
The club have agreed to award you 50 loyalty points, for your brick in that toilet wall, which has become so eroded with splashback over the last couple of seasons, that nobody can read your name on it any more.
But they are still adamant that you won't get any more, for your visit to Legends' !
Don't really see what the problem is if you go to the lane to buy your tickets whether they be home or away the data base automatically updates your loyalty points so if you attend every home match over the season you would have at least 2500 the same as the season ticket holder its just that the season ticket holder gets his allocated at the beginning of the season and anyone attending on a match by match basis builds his up, check with the ticket office on how many you have.

i keep saying billy. 10 of us we take it in turn in fetching tkts. the tkt office never ask for all our names just one then print all tkts out in one name. meaning rest of us dont get the points. i know we should insist they do but it takes ages and if your dashing in and out in your dinner break you hav'nt the time. since this loyalty point system started i have missed one home game. liverpool first game of prem season. i bet i hav'nt got a fifth of points i should have. everyone of the 24,000 who went to the preston home game should get a tkt they'd still be 14,000 tkts left over. i've got to wait till sunday when they go on sale to super draw / members/ junior blades. did'nt have any problems getting a tkt for plymouth away. :(
You have my sympathy but at the end of the day you should insist on having the loyalty points given to the members then this would not happen myself and the other 5 mates who go to every game insist on them allocating the points, a email to the club after the game usually does it or a trip to the ticket office with the stub.
Ladybirds I should know you as I went to all those games, plus Malta away when the team didnt turn up, Holland and the Anglo Italian Cup away those fans deserve the first dabs,
We're the famous Sheff United and We're going to Wembley (if we have enough loyalty points)

i'm ok pal i will get sorted. but theres some fans that pay on the day that wont. they have my sympathy. my brother running 3 coaches he's had phone calls this week from people who hav'nt rung him since the wolves play offs.
Grandad.Malky 13-05-2009, 18:11 The loyalty scheme as been in place a number of years, everyone should know how it works, why all the whingeing
I have nearly 10,000 points, my oldest son as 8,000 points but my youngest as only 6,000 points, should I join the whinges or just wait until Friday?
They have already said those with 2,500 points are guaranteed a tickets, what’s peoples problem?

Contrasting stories.......you claimed on the introduce yourself thread to be a season ticket holder, then you create and rant on this thread that you could'nt afford a season ticket hence your disappointment??? smell a rat?
NERVY-OWL 14-05-2009, 22:12 gud spot matt:hihi:, sure it was an innocent mistake though:thumbsup:
matt1889 14-05-2009, 22:29 Chief Inspector Matt on duty lmao
Genuine mistake??....or is it???
Darth Vader 15-05-2009, 00:48 I'm pleased it's a lot fairer than it used to be. Those who pay for tickets to see the blades are rewarded, whether that be in a season ticket or individual games. It wasn't fair that season ticket holders could get more than one, as "mates" who had not been all season ended up going.
I can't believe anyone whinging about not getting points added to their own loyalty account, when a mate has loaned them their season ticket for a game.
I do think that there will be enough tickets for all that really want to go though.

I am not a season ticket holder (Havent been for the last 3 years due to finances) and therefore havent got any loyalty points. I will be down there very early on Monday. I however am not moaning because I think the loyality points is a good idea. Im gutted dont get me wrong as I have been a season ticket holder for over 20 years (just not last 3) but moaning gets ya nowhere so i will be down there monday morning.

You say you are gonna vote BNP. What would the neo-nazi BNP do with Kyle Naughton.
How do you reconcile your support for a racist party by supporting a club which has benefited for the contributions of people like Brian Deane and Tony Agana, to mention just a few non-white players in Utd's recent history.
THINK before you vote.

Fair point. Well made.
Some Utd fans feel hard done by, but apparently Chelsea have only been allocated 25,024 tickets for the cup final, and that's not enough for their season ticket holders!

Titanic99 17-05-2009, 13:21 Came on this thread to have a quick look if there were rumours about how many tickets we've sold for Wembley....... and it's turned into a BNP thread!! Jesus, I know that threads aren't gonna stay completely on topic and are gonna meander a bit but this is taking it a bit far:) Does anyone know how many we've sold so far?
Don't know about you lot but the following have been reported for other clubs:
Millwall have increased their allocation to 48,000
Gillingham have sold 33,000 of their 38,000
Burnley have sold all of their general allocation
Shrewsbury have increaed their allcoation to 25,000
So it looks like Millwall, Gillingham and Burnley will take more than you and Scunthorpe and probably Shrewsbury will have less.

Burnley have or may have sold their general allocation as their gates are half ours , shrewsbury etc can sell tickets a lot quicker as they are much cheaper than the championship final.
Utd cant sell tickets any faster or any more than they are doing due to allocated days. Not until weds/thurs can you make factual comments about Utd ticket sales. At Present sales are on target and hopefully on for a sell out.
As for Millwall, a london club with cheaper tickets not much more than usual new den prices, of course they are due an expected high turn out, they have not got a 350 mile round trip and higher prices, Millwall took 50,000 the last time they went to Wembley mainly for the same reasons.
Cant you feel the envy form S6 ?

So how exactly does this make me an arse, I made no factual comment about Uniteds allocation, I did post factual information about other clubs sales.
Who knows if you'll sell out, as posted on various other threads I believe you'll have done exceptionally well if you achieve this given the financial climate.

The word arse directed to you, and some spelling corrections were deleted during draft mode:) and were posted for less than 30 seconds as your very prompt post confirms. , sorry.

Cheers, I think we will sell all our allocation then. Everyone I know who hasn't got a ticket is going tomorrow and they are in the majority.

Factual,informative and interesting.
Paul Blade 17-05-2009, 14:59 Factual,informative and interesting.
Better be factual as the info was taken from the actual clubs website
Unlike certain other posters who make 'Factual ' info up
I got my £62 ticket today. Queued for nearly four hours, most of the time it was ****ing it down. We must be mad. But I am sure it will all be worth it.
WhiteHawk 17-05-2009, 16:15 they should have a system on the website where you can key in your customer number and get the info.
They do have that. You have to email them for your password. Good luck with that. I've done it 3 times and still haven't had a reply.
Anyone buying £98 tickets? lol, i'm guessing the people that have to buy on general sale will be left with those....
Expensive to say that for enlgland games they only go upto about £48 for the most expensive? (i think)
We're going for the £98 ones.

No its not a mistake................when i joined here no i was'nt a season ticket holder and correct i was not a season ticket holder last season, but i have now bought my season ticket for next season..............so i am guessing that doesn't make a season ticket holder???
Well as far as SUFC is concerned i am a season ticket holder, so why not post that on my profile???
So come on matt do your best to insult me.....make me a look a bad un, but if i remember rightly that short time i spent time with you how many football matches did you go to????

Wouldn’t have thought so, isn’t that what general sale means, on sale to anyone.
BLADES-EELA 17-05-2009, 19:06 9 tickets per customer number according to sufc.co.uk, with just over 10,000 available

Burnley, from what I believe reserved tickets for all of their season ticket holders - then gave the rest to a ticketing agency on the net to sell.

They must have been imagining it rather than make stuff up.
