Is it anything to worry about? MickM 11-05-2009, 18:13 It's normal, as long as it's stable you have nothing to worry about. CPU's are mass manufactured on silicon wafers and quality throughout the wafer varies, so some run cooler than others. altus 11-05-2009, 18:36 If one core is doing more work than the others, because you're running an application that doesn't take advantage of multiple cores for example, you would expect it to be warmer than the others. Trickle 11-05-2009, 19:16 Is it still 10° hotter when under full load for some time? And what utilities are you using to stress test the cpu? Im using Core Temp to view the temps. :) Banana.man 12-05-2009, 13:19 If one core is doing more work than the others, because you're running an application that doesn't take advantage of multiple cores for example, you would expect it to be warmer than the others. Thankyou. I didnt think of that:) Banana.man 12-05-2009, 13:19 It's normal, as long as it's stable you have nothing to worry about. The temperatures your chip will reach will upset you. |
