When Billy first came he only came out when it was quiet and as soon as he heard something he bolted straight back into his house lol. Overtime he has got used to the noises and now I keep his cage door open and he comes in and out as he pleases. I would recommend the care fresh granules. They get rid of any odour. Feel free to come and visit my pigs if you like.
As for eating I couldnt believe how much they eat when they first arrive. Its unbelievable isn't it.
mummysaz21 11-05-2009, 17:43 the boys have sooo come out ofthere shell, had there dandilion treats on my knee and ate from my hand when i passd it them, there still skittish but there geting used to somebody being higher than them as there inside there soooooo gorgous im in love lol, slthough my son had a screaming fit when harry put his foot on him you would think he d bit him hehe blesssssssss

you simply sprinkle a few underneath the sawdust and it magically stops any odour.
lottie_s 11-05-2009, 19:57 what hay do you use by the way and where do you get it from?
I use the p@h timothy hay but have been told its crap so need to find myself some decent stuff with a bit of colour to it
mummysaz21 11-05-2009, 20:01 just local pet shop stuff as theres nowhere else i can get it from, i was going to use p@h stuff but far to expensive, this is 1.99 a big bag and 1.20 for woodshavinf in them oblong blocks does my whole cage, but the hay has lasted long 4 days and theres half left its nealy empty but they are constantly eating
lottie_s 11-05-2009, 20:09 Lol blumin eck thats a lot. Must be because they are growing. Is the cage on the floor? Do you let them roam? I have the Nero 3 cage and the door is constantly open. Billy jumps in and out as he pleases even after his castration. Hes doing well. When he come out he runse around his cage really fast and then jumps up (popcorning) and carries on running. Im lead to believe that it means they are really happy. As for Tilly she is sill getting used to the place and doesnt jumo in and out. Billy is litter trained. I didnt do much just put some wet bedding and dropping in the litter tray and he uses it when hes out. Tilly doesnt seem to understand though and just goes anywhere.
mummysaz21 11-05-2009, 20:12 no there cage isent on the floor, there on a little table, i cant let them run round as i have 2 dogs and also if i let them run round id probably not get then back in lol, there cage isent one where they can get in and out i just get them out and cuddle them and run round on settexx
lottie_s 11-05-2009, 20:16 aww. I think I have a picture of one of them on my phone which I took when I went and visited Helen. I could be wrong though. I cant believe how energetic my Billy is. The speed he runs is unbelieveable I'll have to get some video footage up on youtube for you. It really is funny
mummysaz21 11-05-2009, 20:18 lol aaarrrggghhh there photo genic there realy pritty lol
